Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA is seeking a part-time RN for the 7pm–7am shift. You will be responsible and accountable for patients during a designated time frame, applying the nursing process and collaborating with the health care team.

You will supervise LPNs, CNAs, monitor technicians and unit staff to ensure safe, quality care. The position requires LA RN licensure, BLS, NIHSS within 6 months, and ACLS preferred within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana RN licensure.
• Board Certification (nursing) completion.
• BLS required upon hire; NIHSS within 6 months of hire; ACLS preferred within 6 months.
• Excellent computer skills required; able to adapt to changing environment.
• Med/Surg experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for patients during a designated time frame and to provide care via nursing process and healthcare team members.
• Supervises the activities of Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants, Monitor Technicians, Patient Care Attendants, CNAs, Nurse Technicians and Unit Clerks.
