Job summary

St. Tammany Health System is seeking an experienced RN to supervise patient care during night shifts and ensure quality outcomes. You will oversee Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants, and other support staff, coordinating care within a busy Med/Surg unit.

Ideal candidates have current LA RN licensure, BLS, NIHSS within 6 months, and ACLS preferred. The role requires strong computer skills and adaptability to a changing environment.

Qualifications

• Med/Surg experience preferred.
• Current Louisiana RN license.
• BLS required upon hire.
• NIHSS required within 6 months of hire; ACLS preferred within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent computer skills required.
• Independent thinker with ability to adapt to changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for patients during a designated time frame.
• Supervises the activities of Licensed Practical Nurses and support staff.
• Collaborates with health care team to implement plan of care.
