Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous caregiving or healthcare experience preferred as a medication aide or medication technician.
• Excellent English communication skills for interaction with residents and staff.
• Experience using electronic health records and other healthcare software.
• Knowledge of basic medication management and administration protocols.
• Familiarity with safety, infection control, and OSHA guidelines.
• Ability to stay calm, compassionate, and professional in challenging situations.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medication administration schedules for residents according to prescribed dosages and timing.
• Ensure accurate documentation of medication distribution, including updated records of residents’ medication lists and administration logs.
• Monitor medication storage and inventory levels, coordinating refills and supplies as needed.
• Ensure safety protocols are in place to protect residents.
• Monitor residents’ health and changes, and communicate with leadership.
• Respect residents’ dignity, privacy, and independence.
• Collaborate with care team to provide comprehensive resident care.
