Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Tech in McLean, VA to support patients through admission to discharge. You will assist with daily activities, ensure safety and confidentiality, and collaborate with nursing to aid treatment planning.

The role involves leading daily groups, documenting notes, and providing transportation as needed, with emphasis on respectful, culturally aware care and adherence to facility policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health, substance use, or eating disorder field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• High school diploma preferred
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all DBH policies and procedures.
• Maintains patient safety.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and records.
• Provides exemplary customer service to all patients.
• Facilitates patient daily needs per the program schedule.
• Assists Nursing staff with duties (e.g., vitals, room searches, patient searches).
• Recognizes, responds to, and assists in crisis situations.
• Facilitates and leads daily groups as directed by facility leadership.
• Completes shift notes, group notes, and required documentation.
• Provides transportation services for patients and related tasks.
• Supports patient during admission and discharge processes.
