Job summary

Community Health Systems seeks a part-time NICU RN for 7p-7a (0.6 FTE/24 hours per week) in a 24-bed Level 2 NICU. The RN provides comprehensive nursing care, administers meds, and coordinates with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Strong assessment, documentation, and infection-control skills are essential. The role includes collaboration with physicians and families, patient education, and participation in audits and performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in good standing with state licensure required.
• Experience in NICU or critical care preferred.
• Ability to administer medications and monitor for reactions per protocol.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Assess patients thoroughly and document findings.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to develop care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and perform CPR/Code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
