Job summary

KEPR-TV in Pasco, WA is seeking a part-time Production Assistant to support our news production and get high-quality newscasts on the air! The role involves operating cameras, teleprompter, graphics, and floor directing, plus editing video and posting content to platforms as needed.

You will maintain the studio and collaborate with the production team to plan and wrap shows. On-site work is required and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work well and calmly under pressure.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with tv production preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate cameras, teleprompter, create graphics, and floor direct.
• Edit video and post content to all platforms as needed.
• Maintain studio and control room.
• Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned.
• Collaborate with producers, anchors, and the production team.
• Participate in pre-show planning and post-show wrap-up.
• Communicate clearly with management, producers, engineering staff, the production control team, and talent.
• Train other production team members
