Job summary

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium in Toledo, OH is seeking a part-time Wild Toledo Native Landscape Technician to support its native landscaping initiative. The ideal candidate is 18+, has a valid driver’s license, and is pursuing biology or horticulture studies or holds related degrees. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Preference for biology or horticulture students or related degrees.
• Ability to work in heat, humidity, rain, insects, and stings.
• Travel to NW Ohio and SE Michigan locations; some travel over an hour in a day.
• Some weekend work required; drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation of Wild Toledo’s native landscaping initiative.
• Collaborate with the Wild Toledo Coordinator and Native Landscape designer on projects.
• Support landscape sites across the Toledo Zoo campus and regional locations.
