Job summary

Responsibilities include delivering face-to-face and online instruction, maintaining records, contributing to curriculum development, and mentoring students within an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or five years construction experience.
• Meet minimum SACS criteria and credentialing requirements for teaching.
• Willingness and ability to teach face-to-face, online asynchronous, and online synchronous classes.
• Willingness to travel and work at multiple campuses or offsite locations including teaching high school students.
• Flexibility to teach morning, afternoon, evening and weekend classes.
• Understanding of assessment and continuous improvement.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for teaching assignments as recommended by the Department Chair and approved by the Dean.
• Design inclusive instructional activities to maximize equitable student outcomes.
• Adhere to course guidelines and ensure content includes program, state, and SACSCOC-approved competencies.
• Maintain all required college records, including attendance and grade reports.
• Compile resources of specialized materials for outside reading assignments.
• Assess student learning using appropriate modalities.
• Utilize learning management system tools as required by the college and/or department.
• Maintain and update course descriptions, objectives, and syllabi.
• Incorporate inclusive content and work to eliminate discriminatory curriculum content.
• Help students achieve course, program, and degree outcomes.
• Recommend supplies, equipment, and scheduling of facilities.
