Job summary

Lee Health in Fort Myers, FL seeks a part-time Radiology - MRI technologist to perform MRI procedures and produce diagnostic images. You will safely operate the MRI scanner and injector, maintain MR software competency, and apply MR anatomy knowledge to ensure high-quality results while collaborating with a radiologist.

The role requires graduation from a JRCERT-accredited radiography or MRI program, ARRT eligibility or certification, BLS, and Florida licensure as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a JRCERT-accredited radiography or MRI degree program.
• No prior experience required. Radiology or MRI degree graduates accepted.
• BLS (American Heart Association) required.
• Florida Radiologic Technologist License for radiology techs; MRI degree for non-radiology techs or AMRIT Registry.
• ARRT Registered or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures and maintains a thorough working knowledge of MR equipment.
• Safely operates the scanner and injector to produce diagnostic quality MR images.
• Understands MR software and maintains competency in MR area.
• Applies MR anatomy and pathology knowledge to ensure high-quality images.
• Provides safe patient care and promotes patient, employee, and physician satisfaction.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and staff orientation.
• Performs venipuncture for appropriate exams.
• May transport non-narcotic medications as directed.
