Job summary

Lee Health in Fort Myers is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform all MRI procedures, operate scanners, and deliver high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will work with radiologists and staff, participate in training, and support performance improvement initiatives.

Graduation from a JRCERT-accredited radiography or ARRT-approved MRI degree program is required, with ARRT registration or eligibility and a Florida license. BLS certification is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a JRCERT-accredited radiography or ARRT-approved MRI degree program.
• ARRT registration or eligibility is required.
• BLS (American Heart Association) Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Florida Radiologic Technologist License for radiology techs; MRI degree for non-radiology techs or AMRIT Registry.
• ARRT registered or eligible is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all MRI procedures and maintain operator competency for all MRI equipment.
• Safely operate MRI scanner and injector to produce diagnostic quality MR images.
• Understand MR software and maintain competency in MR area.
• Provide appropriate and safe patient care and promote patient, employee, and physician satisfaction.
• Assist in performance improvement initiatives and in staff/student orientation and training.
