Job summary

Abound Health in Monroe, NC is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with IDD in daily living, community participation, and behavioral support. The role emphasizes compassion, reliability, and facilitating independence.

Starting pay is $15.40 per hour with paid onboarding and training, weekly pay, and opportunities for advancement. Flexible schedules and a signing bonus are available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs.

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed
• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules
• Complete ongoing training and professional development

This position is located in Monroe, NC and will be Monday-Friday from 12p-4p.

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As a DSP, you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently. Pay & Signing Bonus

Starting Pay: $15.40/hour

$1,000 signing bonus paid in 3 installments when averaging 20+ hours/week
