Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Monroe, NC to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support, helping clients live independently. Paid onboarding and training provided with opportunities for growth.

Starting pay is $15.40/hour with a weekly pay cycle; 1,000 signing bonus after meeting hours threshold. 20+ hours/week anticipated.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Willing to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Paid onboarding & training provided to all new hires.

Responsibilities

This position is located in Monroe, NC and will be Monday-Friday from 12p-4p.

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As a DSP, you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently. What You’ll Do

As a DSP, you will provide hands‑on support that helps individuals build independence and confidence. Being a DSP is a rewarding experience – you will genuinely make a difference in somebody’s life. Responsibilities will include:

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed
• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules
• Complete ongoing training and professional development

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs

Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required – we provide paid training and support

Pay & Signing Bonus

Starting Pay: $15.40/hour

$1,000 signing bonus paid in 3 installments when averaging 20+ hours/week
