Job summary

ITW Medical is seeking a Mold Technician in Hebron, IL to perform mold changeovers, inspect and maintain tooling, and verify conformance to specifications. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, blueprints literacy, and hands-on experience with plastic injection mold tooling.

You will work closely with setup technicians to ensure equipment runs smoothly, comply with OSHA and GMP standards, and contribute to ongoing process improvements in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years combined experience with plastic injection mold and tooling.
• Knowledge of Validation Process and ability to validate tooling changes.
• Ability to train technician trainees and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Mold changeovers: determine part defect, root cause, implement corrective action.
• Preventative maintenance of injection molds, including inspection, disassembly, cleaning and reassembly.
• Verify mold tooling conformance to print tolerances using precise measurement techniques.
• Document maintenance work orders in detail.
• Set up and operate molding machinery and support equipment.
• Assist with scheduled preventative maintenance and collaborate with setup technicians.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Validation Process
• Capabilities of making independent tooling recommendations
• Ability to effectively train technician trainees
• Must possess good communication/interpretation skills, good visual skills for accessing functionality of equipment, above basic mathematical skills, above minimum computer skill set, and reasoning ability.
• Must possess mechanical aptitude and ability to adapt and learn.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for full manufacturing shift, ability to reach with arms extended and/or overhead, excellent hand dexterity, ability to bend, stoop, stretch and similar activities
• Ability to accommodate occasional flexible schedule when required.
• Must be able to safely operate required equipment for performing job functions

Compensation Information

Pay Transparency

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this role. Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, market level, other job-related factors, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. As applicable this role will also receive overtime compensation and may be eligible for shift premium compensation.

Pay Range: $25 - $33
