Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners is seeking a part-time Mohs Medical Assistant for our Chandler, AZ clinic. The role supports exam prep, patient histories, and active involvement during procedures, with a focus on patient care and accurate documentation in EMR.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years in a medical office, certification as a medical assistant, and Mohs experience. Expect collaboration with dermatology teams and strong patient communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of medical office experience as a medical assistant.
• Medical assistant or dermatology technician certification is required.
• Prior Mohs experience is required.
• Knowledge of Mohs procedures and CPT/ICD-10 terms.

Responsibilities

• Assist the patient in preparing for the exam.
• Enter medical histories and prescriptions into EMR.
• Assist physician during procedure/surgery.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens.
• Educate patients and respond to questions in the office/on the phone as needed.
• Document all medical instructions given to patients.
• Clean and organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and stock supplies.
• Fulfill responsibilities as assigned by providers and management.
