Job summary

Young World Physical Education seeks a Middle School Cheer Head Coach for SY 26/27 at Coatimundi Middle School, Rio Rico, AZ. The role is part-time with immediate starting date and a $3,000 annual salary.

The coach will oversee the cheer program, promote positive sportsmanship, ensure safety and academic progress of student athletes, and collaborate with teachers, counselors, and the athletic department to support district goals.

Qualifications

• Current AZ teaching certificate preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work with students, staff, officials and media to promote a positive image of District activity.
• Other Governing Board eligible alternatives.

Responsibilities

• Promote the cheer program within the District, community, and media.
• Provide rules and expectations to athletes and parents and enforce these fairly.
• Be knowledgeable of school, District, AIA and league rules, procedures and policies.
• Direct supervision of student athletes during practices, travel, and events.
• Plan practices with conditioning, warm-ups and skill instruction; develop athletes' skills.
