Job summary

The Village of Lemont is seeking a part-time Meter Reader/Technician to service our community. This role involves reading meters on assigned routes, recording readings, and ensuring meters are functioning properly.

You may also install water meters at Village properties and customer locations, which may require entering private spaces. The position is 24 hours per week with starting pay of $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong communication and public-interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Read residential and commercial meters along assigned routes.
• Record and report readings accurately.
• Install and repair water meters at Village properties and customer locations.
