Michaels Stores in Bridgewater, NJ, is seeking a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards to ensure pricing accuracy, timely promotions, and a customer-ready store environment.

You will lead a team, manage SOP adherence, ship-from-store processes, and stock movement while coordinating with store leadership to optimize in-stock levels and shrink reduction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution processes, ensuring timely unloading, sorting, and flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization, aligning staffing with business needs.
• Execute and maintain SISO routines to drive in-stock levels, replenishment accuracy, and sales readiness.
• Oversee Planogram execution, ensuring merchandising sets are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards, including initial product placement.
• Support a clean, organized, and customer-ready store environment, including backroom organization and floor recovery.
• Manage store damages procedures, ensuring proper handling, reporting, and shrink reduction
• Train and develop team members through TM onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
• Partner in maintaining Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink.
