Description

Our Garden Group, providing sales support and logistics for proprietary and consumer-recognized brands, is seeking a part-time Merchandiser in Florissant, MO. Responsibilities include stocking and arranging product displays for grass seed, chemicals, and clay pottery in Lowe's, Home Depot, and WalMart stores.

Measures of Success

• Down stocking and maintaining set integrity for Central Garden products
• Setting and maintaining shelves according to planograms
• Installing and maintaining off-shelf display opportunities
• Weekend consumer interaction during peak season (training provided)

Ideal Candidate Attributes

• Previous merchandising experience preferred
• Strong communication skills for interaction with store management and consumers
• Ability to read packaging labels and manage re-tagging projects
• Physical ability to bend, pull, and lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders, use pallet jacks, and hand tools
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
• Access to internet/email and a smartphone with required OS versions
• Responsible, reliable, and dependable work habits
• Ability to work safely and remain alert

Working Conditions

• Retail store environment, including garden centers and retail floors
• Work schedule: Monday - Friday, some weekends, primarily Saturday
• Physical requirements: bending, pulling, lifting 50 lbs., climbing ladders, using tools
• Travel within territory, driving personal vehicle
• Remote work possible
