Description

Our Garden Group, providing sales support and logistics for both proprietary brands and other consumer recognized brands, is searching for a part-time Merchandiser in the West Palm Beach, FL area. This position involves stocking and arranging product displays, including grass seed, chemicals, and clay pottery, in home improvement centers such as Lowe's, Home Depot, and Walmart.

Measures of Success

• Down stocking and maintaining set integrity for Central Garden products
• Set and maintain shelves according to retailer mandated planograms
• Install and maintain off-shelf display opportunities
• Weekend consumer interaction during peak season (training provided)

Ideal Candidate Attributes

• Previous merchandising experience preferred
• Strong communication skills for interacting with store management and consumers
• Ability to read packaging labels and re-tagging projects
• Capable of bending, pulling, and lifting 50 lbs. throughout the workday
• Ability to climb ladders, use a pallet jack, and hand tools
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
• Daily access to internet/email and a personal smartphone with current OS
• Responsible, reliable, and dependable work habits
• Ability to work safely and alertly

Working Conditions

• Retail store environment, including garden centers
• Work Monday through Friday, with some weekends, mainly Saturday
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and use tools
• Daily travel within territory using personal vehicle
• Remote work environment
