Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Olathe, KS is hiring a Part-Time Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards.

You will ensure accurate pricing, timely promotions, and a customer-ready store through strong workload planning, in-store leadership, and adherence to SOPs. This role requires customer focus, team development, and flexibility for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to stand long periods and lift up to 25–50 pounds.
• Knowledge of SOPs and company programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SOP adherence and company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution: unloading, sorting, and merchandise flow to the sales floor.
• Plan workload and daily tasks; align staffing with business needs.
• Run Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to improve in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram execution and maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized store and backroom; support customer readiness.
• Manage inventory control, stock movement, and shrink reduction efforts.
• Execute ad sets with compliant promo signage and product placement.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment, RTVs, and ASN receiving and adjustments.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing coaching.
• Collaborate with asset protection to reduce shrink and ensure safe operations.
