Job summary

Michaels Stores is seeking a Merchandise Manager for our Evergreen Park, IL location. This role drives merchandising and daily operations, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards to ensure pricing accuracy, timely promotions, and a customer-ready store atmosphere.

Responsibilities include leading SOPs, supervising staff, managing truck and stock flow, executing in-store promotions, and maintaining in-stock levels with strong planning.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience
• Ability to stand long periods and move throughout a store
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with/without accommodation

Responsibilities

• Lead SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of company policies and standards and hold team accountable.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution, unloading, sorting, and flow of merchandise to sales floor.
• Plan workload and daily tasks with store leadership to align staffing with needs.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to drive in-stock levels.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Maintain clean, organized store environment and backroom organization.
• Manage inventory control, stock movement, and pricing accuracy.
• Execute promotional ad sets and timely price changes.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment and RTV/ASN processes.
• Support shrink reduction and asset protection initiatives.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and coaching.
