Job summary

Koinonia Family Services in Loomis, CA is seeking a part-time Mental Health Support Worker I to supervise youth aged 12-18 in our adolescent residential program. The role involves assisting with daily activities, transportation, and supporting therapy sessions.

Starting wage is $22.00–$24.00 per hour, with PTO accrual, holiday premium pay, and a 401k plan. Candidates must meet state requirements, have driving ability, and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth (including coaching, tutoring, mentoring, daycare, volunteering or working in a school)
• Must be at least 21 years of age as required by state law
• Criminal background clearance through the California Department of Justice and FBI; pre-employment physical and TB test
• Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation to transport youth as needed

Responsibilities

• Supervise youth on outings, recreational activities and daily program tasks
• Provide transportation for youth to appointments and activities
• Participate with social workers and youth in group and individual therapy sessions
• Perform routine household and grounds maintenance and food service when required
• Prepare paperwork and reports related to youth activities and program implementation
