Job summary

Ovation Heartwood Preserve in Omaha, NE is seeking a friendly Laundry Technician to maintain clean, sanitary linens and resident clothing for memory care and assisted living residents. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, part-time.

You will operate commercial laundry equipment, follow infection control protocols, label items to prevent loss, and collaborate with care staff to uphold residents' dignity and comfort.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Experience in laundry or housekeeping in medical facilities preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Able to communicate with staff and follow instructions.
• Willingness to work with seniors and maintain confidentiality.
• Desire to improve quality of life for residents.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, and prepare soiled linens and clothing daily.
• Operate commercial washers/dryers following sanitation protocols.
• Fold, hang, and distribute clean laundry to resident closets.
• Label and protect memory care resident clothing to prevent loss.
• Maintain laundry area cleanliness and report equipment issues.
• Comply with infection control protocols and PPE usage.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
