Job summary

Quail Park of Lynnwood is seeking a Life Engagement Assistant to support the Tribute Memory Care Department, including driving the bus for outings. You will plan and assist with social events, coordinate activities, and help the care team by monitoring residents and applying behavior management strategies.

The role requires at least 1 year in a senior living setting, CNA/HCA credentials, a valid driver's license, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in a senior living environment and/or social activity leadership.
• Experience in memory care setting preferred.
• CNA/HCA certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• English reading, writing, and speaking required.
• Health-related licensure requirements must be met.
• CPR/First Aid and Food Handler's credentials current.
• Basic computer skills (MS Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing scheduled resident activities.
• Plan, coordinate, and participate in events and outings to meet residents' social and emotional needs.
• Model effective communication and behavior management to engage residents.
• Ensure activities and outings occur as scheduled.
• Assist in recruiting and training volunteers for the activity program.

Quail Park of Lynnwood

Are you an outgoing person with experience in a senior living community? Come join the Quail Park of Lynnwood team as a Life Engagement Assistant in our Tribute Memory Care Department! Must be able to drive the bus for outings (will provide training).

Our Life Engagement team plans a variety of events and activities to keep our residents stimulated and engaged. As a member of this team, you would plan, assist with, and coordinate these social events and activities. You will also assist the care team with monitoring and supporting residents by keeping up to date on social history profiles and modeling behavior management strategies.

Hiring for 2 positions:

Schedules (may be flexible):

Thursday - Saturday 9:00a - 5:00p

Sunday - Tuesday 9:00a - 5:00p

What You'll Do:

• Assist in implementation of scheduled resident activities
• Assist, plan, coordinate and participate in a variety of social events, outings, and on-site activities to ensure resident social, emotional, mental and spiritual needs are met
• Act as a role model to community team members for communication and behavior management strategies and engage residents in meaningful activity and social interaction
• Ensure all resident activities, outings and events occur according to schedule
• Assist in recruiting, training and scheduling an adequate number of volunteers to support the community activity program
• Support the team ensuring all resident care and activity is provided in a safe and effective manner while consistently maintaining resident dignity, choice and respect

What We're Looking For:

• At least 1 year experience working in a senior living environment and/or social activity leadership
• Previous experience working in a memory care setting
• CNA/HCA
• Valid driver's license
• Must be ablet to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with residents, guests and other team members
• Must meet all health-related requirements pertaining to state licensure
• Must maintain current CPR/First Aid and Food Handler's credentials
• Proficiency in basis computer skills including MS Word and Excel
