Job summary

YMCA Edmond location is seeking an on-site Fitness Center Attendant to supervise the gym, assist members with programs, and maintain equipment and cleanliness. You will serve in a welcoming role, helping members find personal training options and staying informed on YMCA events and classes.

The role requires CPR PRO, AED, O2 and First Aid certification, minimum 18 years old, and strong communication skills to build relationships with members, donors and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience establishing personal relationships.
• Knowledge and understanding of current physical education principals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the fitness center at all times and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
• Encourage participation in YMCA programs and personal training.
• Clean and maintain all cardio and weight equipment; manage towels and spray bottles.
• Log equipment issues and coordinate with leadership on maintenance.
• Attend staff meetings and uphold YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
