Job summary

Jolt Credit Union in Saginaw, MI is seeking a Part-Time Member Service Representative to greet members, process transactions, and guide them toward banking options that fit their needs.

This role is 24-28 hours per week, including some Saturdays, with a friendly team and a focus on community service. You’ll handle deposits, loan payments, cash handling, and respond to inquiries; you’ll promote credit union products, balance the drawer, and help maintain accuracy.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in customer service is a must (cash handling, teller, or sales experience a bonus!)
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• High attention to detail and a knack for accuracy
• Confidence, patience, and a positive attitude
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet during shifts
• A passion for helping others and being part of a team
• Energetic, motivated, empathetic and committed to community service

Responsibilities

• Deliver service to both members and coworkers that is in alignment with our Service Promise: "Giving it All We've Got, Every Day and Everywhere"
• Credit union product promotion and recommendations
• Verifying cash in drawer at beginning and end of day
• Processing deposits, loan payments, VISA payments, and other types of payments
• Disbursing account withdrawals and cashing checks
• Process other teller transactions relative to accounts, credit cards, loans, etc.
• Issuing Cashier's checks
• Cashing U.S. Savings Bonds
• Responding to member inquiries (interest rates, account balances, etc.)
• Assisting with balancing branch, vault, ATM, etc.
• Protecting the credit union from fraud
