Job summary

St. Cloud Area Family YMCA is seeking a part-time Member Services assistant to deliver excellent service to members, guests, and staff while maintaining a welcoming facility.

You will greet participants by name, review notes in the YMCA software, and respond to questions in a courteous, professional manner. Responsibilities include supporting program knowledge, performing light physical tasks, assisting with retention activities, and attending mandatory staff meetings.

Qualifications

• Providing outstanding customer service to all members, guests, staff and the community at large.
• Ability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week; be available for 2–3 weekends per month.
• Ability to take initiative on projects and tasks.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, people, and multi-tasking skills.
• Visual, auditory, and verbal ability to communicate effectively with people and monitor activity.
• Ability to perform light physical tasks, including lifting up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• One-year experience preferred in customer service and/or sales and handling money.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting members and guests.
• Review notes in YMCA software (DAXKO) and respond appropriately.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and attend staff meetings.
• Assist with membership retention activities and promotions.
• Sell the YMCA’s value as a not-for-profit, family-oriented wellness center.
