Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain, organize, and update resident medical records per policies and regulations.
• Collect, assemble, review, and file resident charts and related documents.
• Retrieve and deliver medical records to authorized personnel.
• Review records for completeness and correct missing items.
• Assist with organizing active and inactive resident records.
• Support MDS Coordinator with assessment scheduling and documentation.
• Maintain admission and discharge records and other logs.
• Track records and ensure proper sign-out and return of documents.
• Document incidents and file reports per procedures.
• Process authorized requests for medical record information with privacy compliance.
• Enter and retrieve resident demographics in computer systems.
• Answer inquiries and prepare correspondence.
• Assist with transcribing and typing reports for physicians.
