Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a part-time Medical Records Clerk at Lawrence Correctional Center in Sumner, IL. The role maintains offender health records, retrieves records for appointments, files data, and initiates records for new or transferred intakes.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, CPR/BLS certification, and prior medical records experience. A Bachelor’s degree and medical terminology course are preferred. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Qualifications

We are currently seeking a part-time Medical Records Clerk to join our team at Lawrence Correctional Center located in Sumner, Illinois.

The Medical Records Clerk maintains offender health records, retrieves health records for scheduled appointments, files offender health data, initiates records for new or transferred intakes. They review health records for completeness, files records as required, prepares reports as needed and more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree
• Certification by the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred but not required
• Prior experience with medical records and services
• Completion of a medical terminology course preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Available Shift: Part-time, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.
