Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Medical Records Clerk for IL River Correctional Center in Canton, Illinois. The role maintains offender health records, retrieves records for appointments, files health data, and initiates records for new intakes.

The position is full-time with a 7AM-3PM day shift, 40 hours per week, and offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive hourly wage. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree; RHIA/RHIT certification is preferred but not

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Completion of a medical terminology course preferred.
• Prior experience with medical records and services.
• Ability to obtain security clearance with background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain offender health records and file records as required.
• Retrieve health records for scheduled appointments.
• Initiate records for new or transferred intakes.
• Review health records for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare reports as needed.
