Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a part-time Medical Records Clerk at Lawrence Correctional Center in Sumner, IL. The role maintains offender health records, retrieves records for appointments, files data, and initiates records for new or transferred intakes.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, CPR/BLS certification, and prior medical records experience. A Bachelor’s degree and medical terminology course are preferred. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; a Bachelor’s degree may be considered.
• RHIA or RHIT certification preferred but not required
• Prior experience with medical records and services
• Completion of a medical terminology course preferred
• CPR/BLS certification current and active

Responsibilities

• Maintain offender health records and files.
• Retrieve health records for scheduled appointments.
• Initiate and file records for new or transferred intakes.
• Review health records for completeness and prepare reports as needed.
