Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent computer, telephone, and communication skills.
• Customer service skills, organization, and attention to detail.

• Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced and stressful environment and manage a multi-line telephone system.
• Medical office experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries appropriately.
• Schedules appointments in person, by telephone, or through computer software systems to optimize patient satisfaction and provider time.
• Maintains patient records with demographics, insurance, and billing information.
• Collects co-payments at the time of service and reconciles daily cash reports.
• Protects patient confidentiality and follows policies and procedures.
• Maintains operations by following policies and reporting changes.
• Contributes to team effort and handles other duties as assigned.
