Job summary

Portland Community College is seeking part-time faculty for the Medical Assisting Program. Instructors may teach courses such as MA 112, MA 117, MA 114, MA 120, MA 118, MA 131 & MA 132. Candidates should have an Associate degree or significant MA leadership/training experience and MA credentials.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or three years of experience working directly with Medical Assisting students or new hire MAs in a leadership and/or training role.
• Certified Medical Assistant credentialed through the AAMA, NHA, NCCT or AMT.
• Three years experience working as a medical assistant in an ambulatory care setting

Responsibilities

• Teach the listed Medical Assisting courses (MA 112, MA 117, MA 114, MA 120, MA 118, MA 131 & MA 132).
• Review PCC Course Catalog and list PCC courses you could teach.
• Align instruction with PCC's standards and competencies.
