Job summary

Center for Family Medicine is seeking a part-time laboratory generalist to perform a full spectrum of testing in a physician's office laboratory in Sioux Falls. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to multitask within a teaching environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate degree in Laboratory Science.
• Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from the ASCP.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and reporting results.
• Maintain records demonstrating proficiency testing are aligned with patient samples.
• Adhere to QC policies; document calibrations and maintenance performed.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and report to supervisor.
• Educate residents during Lab Medicine rotations.
