Starting pay is $22.25/hr, with a benefits package for full-time employees and a no-night, no-weekend schedule. Requirements include an Associate degree in Laboratory Science and ASCP Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analysis and record keeping.
• Maintain records showing proficiency-testing samples tested like patient samples.
• Adhere to quality control policies; document all QC activities and calibrations.
• Follow corrective action policies when test systems deviate from performance specs.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and report to supervisor.
• Document corrective actions when test systems deviate from specs.
• Educate residents during Lab Medicine rotations and supervise trainees as needed.
• Perform moderate complexity testing under supervision if no associate degree held.
