Job summary

Insight is seeking a part-time laboratory professional to perform routine and complex analytical procedures in a hospital setting. You will interpret results, maintain instrument performance, and support the health care team while ensuring patient confidentiality.

This role requires an accredited lab degree or equivalent training, eligibility for ASCP MLT, and completion of required continuing education. You will work on-site with a team and handle quality control and data entry duties.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree or transcripts showing required lab courses per 42 CFR subpart M.
• Experience: completion of approved clinical lab program or 3+ months full-time lab experience.
• Certification: ASCP MLT eligible at hire with certification within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing and analyzes specimens following established standards.
• Operates instruments and conducts procedures within training scope.
• Maintains quality control records and corrects out-of-control results.
• Acts as liaison between laboratory and health care team while maintaining confidentiality.
• Performs routine data entry and ensures accuracy in lab information systems.
• Instructs new associates and evaluates competencies as needed.
• Completes required CE and in-services; participates in training.

Education

Associate degree in a laboratory science or Medical Laboratory Technology

Clinical laboratory training program completed or ABHES/CAHEA/other approved

ASCP MLT eligible at hire; certification within 1 year
