Ideal Home Care Services, Inc. seeks an experienced Medical Billing and Coding Instructor to join our academic team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality education and preparing students for certification exams in medical billing and coding.

The candidate will teach ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding, insurance claims, and regulatory compliance, employing varied instructional methods and hands-on practice. Strong communication and HIPAA knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold Medical Billing and Coding certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in medical billing, coding, or healthcare reimbursement.
• Teaching or training experience in a classroom or online setting is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and coding standards (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer systems and medical billing/coding software.
• BPSS teaching permit or license preferred.

Responsabilités

• Curriculum Delivery: Teach medical billing and coding courses, including ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and reimbursement processes.
• Instructional Methods: Use lectures, hands-on practice, case studies, and group activities.
• Student Assessment: Evaluate progress via quizzes, exams, and coding exercises.
• Certification Preparation: Prepare students for CPC, CCA, and related credentials.
• Lesson Planning: Develop lesson plans and assignments aligned with standards.
• Maintain Industry Knowledge: Stay current with changes in regulations and coding systems.
• Student Support: Provide mentorship and guidance toward career readiness.
• Administrative Duties: Maintain records and adhere to policies.
• Collaboration: Work with faculty to create a positive learning environment.
