Qualifications

• Diploma of a Medical Assisting program and a minimum of three years of work experience in patient care or teaching.
• Hold either an RMA (AMT) or CMA (AAMA) certification or be eligible for certification.
• Strong communication and teaching skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach medical assisting courses in the Allied Health department.
• Instructor may be required to teach classes at any location of the College.
• Under general supervision, prepares lesson plans for classroom/laboratory and online instruction; develops program curriculum, syllabi, goals, and objectives; evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives; prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports; attends professional development training; assists with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.
• The position may require committee and project assignments as well as day/evening classes and activities and other duties as assigned.
