Job summary

American Career College is seeking a faculty member to educate the next generation of Medical Assistants in a student-centered environment. You will deliver instruction, develop lesson plans, and support student success while meeting program requirements.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of occupational experience, 1 year teaching or formal training, a high school diploma, and CMA (AAMA) or RMA credentials with CPR certification, aligned to CHEA-accredited standards.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of occupational experience in the subject taught.
• One (1) year of teaching experience in the subject areas taught or equivalent training.
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate from CHEA-accredited program or equivalent in the specialty area.
• CMA (AAMA) or RMA credential required by local, state and federal laws.
• Current CPR Card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver class instruction using approved curriculum and effective teaching methods.
• Develop daily lesson plans, advise, remediate, and tutor students; maintain attendance and grades.
• Participate in faculty meetings and in-service professional growth sessions.
• Engage in college activities such as open houses, orientations, and advisory board meetings.
• Support student success and readiness for entry-level healthcare positions.
