Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Medical Assistant with current certification.
• Thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Arriving at the lab early to set up skills and prepare for the day.
• Assisting the instructor in observing and correcting students as they practice skills.
• Attending and watching each demonstration, then ensuring students perform the skill correctly.
• Testing out students and assigning grades on their competency skills.
• Providing detailed documentation on each test-out evaluation form.
• Reviewing test-out assessments and giving timely feedback.
• Facilitating remediation sessions and keeping progress records.
• Serving as a professional role model for students.
• Being available for open labs as needed.
• Restocking exam rooms and notifying when supplies need reordering.
• Complete all required institutional training and maintain email communication.
