Job summary

USA Clinics Group is seeking a Medical Assistant for our north Austin clinic. The role balances patient needs with clinic workflow and supports physicians before, during, and after procedures to ensure an excellent service experience.

We offer paid training (in Houston for 1–2 weeks, expenses paid) and a competitive hourly rate of $22–$25. Schedule includes Monday 9-5 and Friday 8-4, with growth opportunities in a fast-growing, patient-first organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years hands-on clinical experience as Medical Assistant or similar direct patient care role.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and CMA/CCMA/RMA preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish & English.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming patient experience.
• Document vital signs, medical histories, and clinical information in EMR/EHR.
• Perform clinical tasks within scope of training (phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, specimen collection).
• Document patient interactions accurately in EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver excellent patient service in a fast-paced clinic environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms (Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, etc.).
• Support patient care across physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health.
• Leverage bilingual communication to support patient interactions.

Position Summary:

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures – before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Monday (9-5pm) & Friday (8-4pm)

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experienceas a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician)
• Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, CCMA, or RMA preferred
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment,
• Fluency in Spanish & English
