Job summary

USA Clinics Group in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant to balance patient needs and maintain efficient office workflow while supporting physicians.

You will ensure an excellent patient service experience, with duties including vitals, rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and documenting in EMR/EHR systems. Bilingual English/Spanish is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and CMA/CCMA/RMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients, ensuring a welcoming experience.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical data in EMR/EHR.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information in EMR/EHR systems.
• Provide exceptional patient service while managing a high-volume environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks.
• Support patient care in physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health.
• Leverage bilingual communication to support patient interactions.

Position Summary:

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures – before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Wednesday & Thursday
• Locations: Huntington Beach clinic
• Compensation: $21-$25/hr
• Paid training
• Must be fluent in English & Spanish

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician)
• Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, CCMA, or RMA preferred
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment,
• Fluency in Spanish & English
