Job summary

Allina Health Buffalo Clinic is hiring a Medical Assistant for a part-time position. The role supports providers and nursing staff, rooms patients, assists with procedures, and helps manage patient flow in a high-volume clinic.

Eligible external candidates may receive a $2,000 starting bonus. The position offers a 10-hour day shift with Monday–Wednesday work and Thursdays/Fridays off, no weekends, and occasional mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Completed Medical Assistant program or comparable healthcare education with clinical training.
• Minimum 160 hours of clinical externship or equivalent practicum.
• Preferred knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, manage patient flow and collect medical information.
• Assist with examinations and provide psycho-emotional support to patients.
• Assist with specimen collection, labeling and processing.
• Support lab results coordination and EMR documentation.
• Handle front desk backup tasks including patient registration when needed.
• Administer injections and assist with procedures as delegated.
