Lowell General Hospital in Westford is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant, Occupational Medicine Navigator to support a busy Urgent Care. The role is 75% administrative and 25% clinical, with 24 hours weekly across Mon, Wed, Fri 8am–4:30pm.

The position supports patient flow, prepares exam rooms, takes vitals, assists clinicians, and handles billing and referrals within the Occupational Medicine department. MA certification and BLS are required.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant National Certification Attestation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Three years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Five years of Medical Assistant experience (preferred).
• Bilingual (preferred).
• Experience with electronic medical record systems (EPIC).
• Previous supervisory experience (preferred).

Aufgaben

• Controls and monitors patient flow to maximize efficient use of providers and exam rooms.
• Prepares medical record for patient visit and confirms accuracy with patient identifiers.
• Provides customer service in all interactions with patients and staff.
• Assists with patient billing by ensuring CPT/diagnosis codes and supplies are indicated.
• Stocks, maintains and rotates medical supplies in clinic rooms daily and monitors expiration dates.
• May administer immunizations as needed.
• Trains and/orients new medical assistants and precepts students.
