Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant National Certification Attestation from a governing body (AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification OR obtain within three months.
• Three years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Internal Employees Only: If in an MA Instructor position prior to 11/10/2024, must obtain national certification by 11/09/2025.

Aufgaben

• Controls and monitors patient flow to maximize efficient use of providers and exam rooms.
• Prepares medical records for patient visits and verifies accuracy with identifiers.
• Performs vital signs and documents patient information.
• Assists physicians with procedures and educates patients on specimen collection.
• Provides administrative support such as scheduling, interpreter coordination, and message taking.
• May administer immunizations as needed.
• Trains and orients new medical assistants and precepts students.
