Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Diploma from a Medical Assistant Program OR 1 year of medical assisting or related healthcare experience OR Military Medic/EMT-P training.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and maintained.
• Must meet MA1/MA2 requirements and maintain.
• 2–3 years of medical assisting experience referenced in posting.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vitals, and update health information in the EHR.
• Answer phones, process prior authorizations, and handle medical records requests as directed.
• Administer injections and log medications.
• Prepare exam rooms and restock supplies.
• Assist providers with procedures and document care in the EHR.
• Process referrals and follow up on care as needed.
• Provide follow up calls and maintain compliance with standards.
