Job summary

Equitas Health in Dayton, OH is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the clinical team under RN/MD supervision. You will perform clinical and administrative tasks, room patients, take vitals, and document in the EHR.

The role requires completion of a Medical Assistant program, CPR/BLS, and a valid certification; weekend availability may be required. Benefits include PTO, health, vision, 401k, and sick time.

Qualifications

• One year or greater experience as a Medical Assistant required or 120 hours of clinical/externship.
• Experience working in electronic health records; Epic experience preferred.
• Ability to work Saturdays.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Sensitivity to HIV/AIDS, minority health, and LGBTQ+ communities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other computer skills.
• Reliable transportation and driver's license with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vitals, and update health information in the EHR.
• Answer phones, process prior authorizations, and handle records requests.
• Administer injections and log medications in trackers.
• Prepare exam rooms and restock supplies for visits.
• Assist providers with procedures as needed.
• Document care and interactions in the EHR.
• Process referrals and follow up to ensure quality care.
• Make follow up calls to clients or professionals as needed.
• Adhere to corporate policies and participate in meetings.
• Maintain a positive, respectful environment and support diversity.
