Equitas Health operates an Express Clinic in Short North and is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant for evening shifts (Mon-Thurs, 3pm-9pm). The role supports the clinical team under RN/MD supervision, providing direct and administrative patient care in a LGBTQ-focused community health setting.

Ideal candidates will have CMA/RMA licensure, CPR/BLS, and at least one year of Medical Assistant experience, including phlebotomy and EHR use (Epic).

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant Program.
• An active CMA or RMA licensure.
• Certification in CPR/BLS.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare exam rooms for patient visits by sterilizing and restocking supplies.
• Room patients, obtain vitals, and update basic health information in electronic health records (EHR).
• Prepares patients for examinations and performs routine screening tests.
• Assists provider with exams.
• Performs basic lab tests such as phlebotomy and collection of other lab specimens.
• Prepares and administers medications with provider authorization.
• Log all medications administered in appropriate logs, ensuring that all are accounted for against proper inventory accounts.
• Demonstrates OSHA safety standards and HIPAA compliance.
