This position is located at 101 Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri, within the Weight Management UHTMC department. It is a full-time role with work hours from 8:00AM to 4:30PM, totaling 40 hours per week.

Job Overview

This opportunity is open to both Certified Medical Assistant and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) candidates. The role involves providing compassionate patient care, supporting clinical operations, and working as part of a dedicated healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams, including charting and vital checks.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and assist with minor procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Support providers and participate in team meetings.
• Educate patients about treatment plans and medications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NRCMA, or CCMA) required at hire and maintained thereafter.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain before starting.
• Knowledge of POCT, immunizations, injections, and radiology (if applicable).
• Strong problem-solving, organization, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and EMR systems.

LPN Specifics

If applying as an LPN, you will provide nursing care under RN supervision, perform assessments, administer medications, and document care, following Missouri State Board standards.
