Job summary

Frederick Health Hospital, Inc. in Frederick, MD is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support the IVOP Infusion Center. The MA will prepare patients, take vitals, document histories, and assist with procedures under physician supervision, with benefits included and pay range $20.00–$27.77 per hour.

This role requires CPR, relevant MA certification, 1–2 years of clinical experience, EMR proficiency, and the ability to work independently or in a team within a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Licensed/Certified MA preferred; CNA/EMT/LPN with healthcare degree also acceptable.
• One to two years of clinical experience in a medical setting.
• Experience with EMR and MS Office; EMR knowledge preferred.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and document vital signs in the EHR.
• Assist with examinations and medical procedures.
• Educate patients and families on treatment procedures and medications.
• Record medications and lab results in the EHR and manage prescriptions per physician instructions.
• Maintain sterile fields and prepare treatment rooms.
